GROUPS USED TO BE MY NEMESIS.
My first group program was a nightmare.
I’m talking over-delivering, doing 100 check-ins per week, overwhelming my clients and never truly feeling “at ease” with how things were going. Never getting a break from my own anxiety about that client that wasn’t getting results or doing the work… even when I was having dinner with my family.
Watching my daughter play outside with my husband from my office window while I toiled away on spreadsheets, modules, and worksheets… only to wake up at 3 AM worried that I didn’t deliver enough “stuff” and I’d have to do it all over again the very next day.
When that program ended, I swore I’d never do another group program again without some radical changes.
EXCEPT I MADE A TON OF MISTAKES.
It’s not easy to build a business, and man, I failed forward a lot.
The online business landscape celebrates many things - monthly revenues, getting clients to say YES, and polarizing content.
So while I got clients, and surpassed my income goals most months… I had to start over when those clients completed their contracts.
Getting clients results, and being able to do it in an efficient way where you don’t burn out every Friday night… to me, that was the success most of my fellow mama business owners really cared about.
We didn’t want to make a buck here and there - we wanted a real business. Something we could rely on month after month, something that didn’t fall apart when our kids were home sick or on a snow day. Something we could be proud of and say, “I made a difference in the world today.”
But it wasn’t being talked about - what happens after the client says “yes!” and pays their first invoice.
And it’s what we needed support on most of all.
I DECIDED TO GO ON THIS MISSION MYSELF.
I earned my 10,000 hours in mastering group delivery, from my counseling work to my very successful group program Fast Track to Four Figures, to achieving my certification in Group Coaching, to seeing inside many group programs that my clients are running.
