Maintaining engagement in your group coaching program is crucial for the success of your clients and your business. Engaged clients achieve better results, which leads to more referrals and a more relaxed marketing process. In this post, I’ll share three practical hacks to keep your clients engaged from start to finish in your group coaching program.
Create an Agenda for Group Coaching Calls
Adults have numerous responsibilities, and your group program is just one of them. By providing a clear agenda for each group call, you help clients see the value in attending and make it easier for them to prioritize your program. Here’s how to do it effectively:
Outline Key Points: Let them know what the call will cover and what they can expect to achieve. This sets clear expectations and highlights the benefits of attending.
Highlight Importance: Explain why the call is crucial for their growth. If they believe they are already proficient in the topic, encourage them to attend and contribute by helping others.
Stay Flexible: Your agenda doesn’t need to be rigid. Be prepared to adjust based on the group’s needs and the dynamic of the call.
Implement Group Coaching Program Office Hours With A Twist
Office hours provide an additional touchpoint for clients, especially those in different time zones or with busy schedules. Here’s how to make the most of office hours:
Various Formats: You can hold office hours on Zoom, through your community platform, or even via Voxer. Choose a method that works best for you and your clients.
Live Interaction: Do not record office hours. The goal is to encourage live interaction, which fosters better engagement and immediate feedback.
Monitor Engagement: Ensure that clients who frequently watch replays are attending office hours. This indicates their commitment and helps maintain a strong connection.
Foster Accountability Among Your Group Coaching Clients
Accountability is key to keeping clients engaged. Here are some ways to build it into your program:
Partner System: For larger programs, pair clients up as accountability partners. This not only keeps them engaged but also fosters a sense of community.
Group Check-ins: During calls, have clients set goals and hold each other accountable. This encourages participation and mutual support.
Small Group Breakouts: Use Zoom breakout rooms or similar features to allow clients to discuss their goals and progress in smaller, more intimate settings.
Bonus Tip: Avoid Overwhelming Clients
When engagement drops, it’s tempting to add more content or features. However, this can overwhelm your clients. Instead:
Focus on Quality: Ensure your existing calls, office hours, and accountability measures are effective.
Resist Adding Extra Events: Avoid adding bonus trainings, one-on-one calls, or other events that might add to their workload and cause disengagement.
Maintaining engagement in your group coaching program requires a focus on clear communication and community building. By implementing agendas, office hours, and accountability systems, you create an environment where clients feel connected and supported. Remember, the goal is to make them feel like a valued part of a community, which naturally leads to higher engagement and better outcomes.
